A timely and useful travel guide Chris. One thing I'd ad that has helped me travel with more joy is to strike up conversations with fellow travelers. It humanizes the crowd when I take the time to get to know people, who often have amazing and fascinating lives to share. It passes the time more enjoyably.
Great add, Rick. One of the most meaningful parts of travel, whether you're wandering a foreign land or just taking a trip across town, is connecting with other humans :)
So timely! One of my fave things to do at the airport is to pull out my sketchbook and draw the surroundings. I always notice new things, even if I've been at the same airport gate multiple times. There's always something so romantic about travel sketches :)
That’s such a lovely idea. I haven’t drawn regularly since I was a kid, but on one of my previous trips to India I did bring a sketchbook! Someday I’d like to get back into drawing.
I most recently painted a dog I was looking after over the weekend! Currently doing a painting (almost) every day thing for December for the fun of it :)
This is a great reminder of the distinction between accepting and liking. It speaks to the value of allowing and letting go.
Your meditating while travelling around India reminded me of how a few years ago I started practising my meditation on the Tube (the London Underground) where it’s noisy, it’s roasting hot in the summer, and people are pushing and shoving. It’s such an escape!

This is so intriguing. What was the last thing you sketched?

You are inspiring me to draw!
